Twenty years ago, five wealthy Southern California women jumped at the chance to film and share their lavish lifestyles with the world.
And it’s safe to say that the juice is worth squeezing. At least for avid viewers of the series.
Believe it or not, in the 20 years since Bravo released Season 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, more than 170 women have picked up oranges, apples, peaches, and diamonds to earn the coveted Real Housewives title (yes, we feel so old).
From flipping tables in New Jersey to hellish dinner parties in Beverly Hills, the Real Housewives series has continued to entertain fans around the world with iconic quotes (Sheree Whitfield’s witty “Who’s checking me out, boo?” line), memetic moments (keeping it cool with the Countess, not uncool), and enough drama to nearly sink a yacht in Cuba (sorry, Rhonnie). Folks, so were we).
But, Bravoholics, don’t forget that the OC Housewives walked so people from Potomac, Miami, and many other cities could wear designer stilettos and make their mark on television history.
