As a result of the incident, Taylor was charged with one felony count of aggravated assault, two felony counts of domestic violence inflicting injury in the presence of a child, one misdemeanor count of child abuse, and one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief, according to court documents released by the Salt Lake County District Attorney and obtained by E! News at the time. She pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in August of the same year, but other charges were dismissed and she was sentenced to three years’ probation.
For Taylor, what hurt the most in hindsight was her level of carelessness that night. “I didn’t care,” she said. “And, and that’s what hurt, I wasn’t thinking about her that night.”
Following the release of the video by TMZ (it did not say how the footage was obtained), ABC announced that the March 22nd premiere of Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette has been canceled. A few days ago, a source confirmed to E! Filming for Season 5 of The Mormon Lady’s Secret was reportedly suspended while police investigated an alleged altercation between Taylor and Dakota in late February.
