The third annual CNBC Changemakers List recognizes women who are transforming business and philanthropy across sectors such as energy, financial services, healthcare, media, retail, sports and technology.
These women are building multibillion-dollar companies and brands, breaking barriers in male-dominated industries, and tackling pressing social issues around the world. CNBC, with guidance from the Changemakers Advisory Board, evaluated applicants’ impact through both quantitative and qualitative lenses. Changemakers who will achieve meaningful results in 2025 were selected in particular.
Today, a record 11% of Fortune 500 companies are run by women, and this number has been increasing over the past decade. But these record numbers still represent a significant gender disparity, one that is widening in key roles across corporate America. Changemakers overcome challenges by taking fresh approaches to old business problems and identifying new business opportunities. These are women who are successful, innovating, and driving change within and outside of their organizations.
