Gisele Bundchen talks about how postpartum with Joaquin Valente’s baby is different from previous pregnancies
Gisele Bundchen focuses on fitness.
Specifically, she worked out to strengthen her core after giving birth to her and husband Joaquin Valente’s baby boy early last year.
“I really feel like these workouts were amazing,” the supermodel, who also has children Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex Tom Brady, said in an Instagram video on Feb. 23. “They really helped me get my core strength back after my third pregnancy. I wish I had known them sooner because I didn’t do them with my other pregnancies.”
Gisele lowered her arms and legs and demonstrated a Pilates-based workout in which she exhaled and tightened her core muscles while raising her torso and knees in the air.
The 45-year-old started her post-baby fitness journey by doing five sets of these exercises, then increased that number to 20.
“This is just me sharing my personal postpartum experience and what worked for my body,” Gisele wrote in the accompanying caption. “After my last baby, I started doing these five slow, deliberate movements around eight weeks postpartum. No traditional crunches, just gentle, conscious work, which helped me reconnect with my core.”
