Conan O’Brien breaks silence about death after last outing at Michelle and Rob Reiner’s holiday party
Conan O’Brien is speaking out about an unfathomable tragedy.
The comedian shared his heartfelt thoughts about Rob Reiner and his wife Michelle Singer Reiner, who were found dead in their Los Angeles home the day after they attended a Christmas party on December 13th.
“The experience of saying goodnight to someone and then the next day they’re gone, I think you’re in a state of shock for quite a while afterwards. I mean, there’s no other word. It’s really, really bad. It’s really bad,” Conan told The New Yorker in an article published on February 20.
The Oscars host also revealed how he and wife Liza Powell O’Brien are getting “increasingly” closer to Rob and Michele and how they “I see them often. ”
“They were very nice people,” he added. ”And I think about how Rob felt about what was going on in this country, how involved he was, how much he put himself out there, and it’s still hard for me to understand how that voice could be silenced in an instant. ”
Rob and Michelle, who have children Jake Reiner, 34, Nick Reiner, 32, and Romy Reiner, 27, had attended a Conan holiday celebration with their 32-year-old son before his body was discovered. Nick was disruptive throughout the night and got into a “violent” argument with his father at the event, multiple sources told the LA Times and People.
