Stock monitoring platforms showed director John Stanton bought 5,000 shares of Microsoft stock for about $2 million. This is the largest acquisition by a corporate insider in nearly 20 years. The stock is down 28% from its July 31 high. The stock’s relative strength index is 32.5. For some traders and investors, 30 often indicates that a stock is oversold. Above 70 means it is overbought. While there is no guarantee that a stock will move in the opposite direction if the RSI reaches 30 or 70, it is one of the many indicators that traders and investors pay attention to. The Dow Jones consensus calls for a 2.5% rise. Personal income data is also scheduled to be released at 8:30 a.m., with economists compiled by Dow Jones forecasting a 0.2% increase. Key inflation data will also be released at 8:30am. The personal consumption expenditure price index is expected to increase by 0.3% from the previous month. The Dow Jones consensus forecast is for a 2.8% increase from the previous year. Prior to this data, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury note was 4.075%. The two-year bond yield is 3.465%. The three-month US Treasury yield is 3.698%. iShares 0-5 Year High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (SHYG) has a dividend yield of 7.02%. iShares iBoxx $ High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (HYG) has a yield of 5.74%.
