The International Cricket Council is in talks with the Pakistan Cricket Board to resolve the boycott of the February 15 T20 World Cup 2026 match against India.
The match between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is one of the most lucrative matches in cricket, worth millions of dollars in broadcast, sponsorship and advertising revenue.

However, the match was put in doubt after the Pakistani government ordered the team not to play in Colombo.
A person close to the situation told AFP news agency that the Pakistan Cricket Board contacted the ICC after receiving an official communication from the world cricket body.
The ICC seeks a solution through dialogue rather than confrontation, the official added.
The 20-team tournament has been overshadowed by heightened political tensions since Bangladesh, who refused to play in India citing security concerns, were replaced by Scotland.
Pakistan refused to play co-hosts India in Group A in protest.
Pakistan, who defeated the Netherlands in the tournament opener on Saturday, will lose two points and their net run rate will take a big hit if they forfeit the match.
Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav announced this week that the team will be heading to Colombo for the match.
Pakistan and India have not played cricket between the two countries for more than a decade, and have only faced each other in world or regional tournaments.
