Meri Brown and Janelle Brown helped pay for Robyn Brown’s house
One of the reasons the Coyote Pass sale turned into such a mess is that the family wasn’t paying attention to what was happening in Las Vegas.
When Meri sold her five-bedroom Sin City home, she gave the proceeds to Robin so they could buy a five-bedroom spread in Arizona. Janelle also invested.
From there, Meri spoke at length about the January 18th One to One special. “They bought a house for themselves, and when they sold it, it doubled in value. Yes, they did.”
That’s when she and Janelle revealed that their mortgage wasn’t exactly on the house.
So when it came time to sell my Arizona land,“There was an agreement here that hasn’t been finalized yet,” Kody elaborated, adding, “Janelle and Meri were gifting me and Robyn money to buy Robyn’s house. Half of the proceeds of Meri’s house, the Las Vegas house, was mine, okay? So they paid 25 in Coyote Pass. They wanted a percentage, but I had put extra money into it. And they wanted the gift back to Robin’s house, but I wasn’t getting any compensation. And I couldn’t negotiate.”
They were able to make a deal with Janelle, Robin pointed out. “She said we were 100 percent right with her, but Meri wasn’t.”
Still, Kody insisted that Meri’s payday would come. “Meri will be paid,” he vowed. “I’m going to be bitter because everyone has their money and they sit there and talk to me all the time.”
