Adding fuel to the wedding drama fire: The newlyweds’ first dance didn’t go as expected, but it’s reportedly very unclear why.
“Brooklyn and Nicola thought Marc Anthony had gifted them their first dance,” a source told E! News for May 2025. Instead, the singer “announced, ‘Welcome to the stage the most beautiful woman in the room, Victoria Beckham.'” Ms. Brooklyn was left in an awkward situation, with no idea what to do. ”
The source added: “Nicola left the room in tears. She eventually returned and was able to collect herself and celebrate the rest of the wedding.”
For the groom, the incident was not so dire as to prevent him from serving as a groomsman at David’s wedding in January 2023, when he married his fourth wife, Nadia Ferreira. But it would be understandable if the bride had an even harder time getting over it.
Sources say Brooklyn and Nicola have made “good faith efforts over the years” to build a relationship with their family, but things aren’t looking good at the moment.
Maybe nothing fits, but maybe not, Brooklyn called Nicola her “whole world” in a May 2025 Instagram post, writing, “I’ll always choose you, baby x You’re the most amazing person I know xx Me and you forever baby.”
