Megan Fox & Brian Austin Green
Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have plenty of experience co-parenting. So the Jennifer’s Body star and Beverly Hills, 90210 alum, who has children Noah, Bodhi, and Journey, are trying to follow some important rules.
“It’s number one,” Brian told E! News for April 2024: “It’s about making sure everything is always centered around the children’s experience.”
Because, in his words, the breakup “is going to affect the kids. The only choice is how it affects the kids.” As part of that, Brian continued, he recognizes the importance of “picking your battles.”
“If the person you were with is now living apart, there’s a reason why you guys are living apart. Because you didn’t get along. So you can’t expect to get along after the fact in parenting. So you have to make a decision: ‘Okay, it’s not a question of getting along anymore. It’s about co-parenting. That’s a whole different situation.'”
Megan, whose divorce from Brian was finalized in 2022, two years after filing, agrees.
The Transformers actress said on a 2023 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, “I think it’s really important when you’re separating that you never disrespect the other parent or make passive-aggressive comments.” “I don’t put that energy into it when I’m around my kids, because if I don’t accept and love their father, I’m rejecting a part of them, because he’s always been a part of them. He’s in their blood, he’s in their spirit, and they exist because of him.”
