Lily Allen is not involved in her daughters’ relationship with ex David Harbour.
After the former couple split in February after four years of marriage, the “Smile” singer, who is also mom to 14-year-old Ethel and 12-year-old Marnie with ex-husband Sam Cooper, revealed that the Stranger Things star still keeps in touch with her stepchildren.
But as Lilly said in an interview with the Observer published on December 20, “I don’t get involved in that kind of thing.”
Indeed, the 40-year-old, who hinted at infidelity in their relationship in her recent album West End Girl, pointed out that her children are able to maintain a connection with David, 50, without her involvement.
“We both have cell phones,” she continued. “They’re all texting each other.”
Shortly after David exchanged vows with Lily in September 2020, he opened up about the positive influence Ethel and Marnie had on his life after being “imposed” into fatherhood.
“I’ve been in relationships with three women, and they all have completely different opinions about me at different times,” he told People in December of that year. “Making a decision like that is something I’ve never done before in my life, but it meant a lot to me. And, to be honest, it makes me feel a little bit more of a man. I feel like I’ve grown up a little bit.”
