Why Bad Bunny decided not to tour the US
The Billboard Latin Music Awards 2025 red carpet was all about jumping.
Bad Bunny leads the pack with a whopping 27 nominations, and on October 23rd, celebrities from all over the world gathered at the James L. Knight Center in Miami to see if the rapper takes home his sixth consecutive Artist of the Year title.
However, Bad Bunny faced stiff competition ahead of the ceremony hosted by Goyo and Javier Poza. Fuerza Regida closely followed the 31-year-old with 15 nominations, including one in the artist of the year category, while Rau Alejandro received 14 nominations.
Meanwhile, Karol G and Tito Double P faced off with 10 people each, while Peso Pluma rounded out the field of candidates with nine.
And it’s definitely been a big year for Bad Bunny. After all, he was recently announced as the headline performer for the 2026 Super Bowl.
“People all over the world who love my music,” he said during an Oct. 8 appearance on Saturday Night Live, before adding in Spanish, “all the Latinos and Latinos around the world who have worked hard to open doors, especially here in the United States.”
