Ukraine’s interior ministry has since said the number of injured rises has risen to 70, with over 100 civilian objects being damaged.

Zaporizhzhia’s regional head Ivan Fedorov said that three children are among the 27 children injured in the area, adding that more than 20 buildings have been damaged in the capital with the same name.

“This sleazy attack occurred virtually (at) at the end of the week of the UN General Assembly. This is exactly how Russia declares its true position. Moscow wants to continue fighting and killing, which deserves the harshest pressure from the world,” writes Zelensky.

I’ll talk at the UN General AssemblyRussian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov He insisted on Saturday that his country has no intention of attacking Europe, but would gain a “decisive response” to any attack.

The residents shook

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the strike that began overnight and continued after dawn on Sunday also targeted residential buildings, private infrastructure, medical facilities and kindergartens.

At Kiev’s central railway station, passengers arrived at the crackling of anti-aircraft gun firefights and low buzzes of attack drones. Mostly women, they waited quietly in the platform underground passage until the air raid warning was over. Parents checked the news on their mobile phones while their children were playing online games.

“The sky is black again,” said a woman at the station. He gave her only her name, Erica. “That’s happening a lot.”

Ilona Kovalenko, a 38-year-old resident of the five-storey building that was attacked in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district, told The Associated Press that she was woken up by an explosion that smashed windows.

“My neighbor kept knocking on our door. She was completely covered in blood and cried out, ‘Help, I’ll save my daughter,'” Kovalenko said.

Olexandra, the daughter of a neighbor, was 12 years old, killed in the attack.

“Sadly, she passed away on the spot,” Kovalenko said. “To be honest, we’re in shock.”

Another multi-storey residential building was heavily damaged by the attack. Emergency service personnel used a power saw to clear the shards. A glass pile of nearby walkways were scattered as the building residents shook and shaking people sat on benches.

Russian officials did not immediately comment on the attack.

Poland’s military response has been triggered

According to Polish forces, the attack sparked a military response in nearby Poland as Russia struck targets in western Ukraine.

Polish military officials viewed these defensive measures as “prevention.”

International concerns have recently emerged that the fighting could spread across Ukrainian borders as European countries denounced Russia for saying it was a provocation. The incident contains Russian Drones landing in Polish soil And Russian Fighter planes entering Estonia’s airspace.

Russia denied that the plane had entered Estonian airspace, saying none of the drones were targeted at Poland.

The latest shelling follows the announcement of Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday, which marks what he called a “mega-trade” for the purchase of arms from the United States. The $90 billion package includes both a major weapons contract for Ukrainian-made drones purchased directly by the US and another “drone deal.”

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense said its air defense had fired down 41 Ukrainian drones overnight until Sunday.
